What We Do

The “Senior Health” Foundation (Fundacja Zdrowie Seniora) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that supports elderly people who cannot afford necessary medications due to dire financial situation. The high costs of medicines and low pension benefits mean that many elderly people in need do not undertake a systematic pharmaceutical treatment, as a result of which they suffer unnecessarily and even die prematurely.

HYPERTENSION
Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases in the elderly and affects as much as 75% of Poles aged 65+
ALZHEIMERS
Alzheimer's disease is the major cause of 50-70% of all dementia cases in Poland and affects half a million Poles.
DIABETES
Nearly 40% of the elderly struggle with type 2 diabetes, requiring regular injections or other types of medication.
DEPRESSION
Every third Polish senior citizen suffers from depression. The most common cause is loneliness,
